At baptism, parents and godparents make a commitment to teach:

• The Lord’s Prayer

• The Nicene and Apostle’s Creeds

• The Ten Commandments

• Reading the bible

• Participating in Church

• Committing to God

Godparents should be baptised members of the Christian Church, people who practice their faith in their lives and take an active role in the life of the church. This will make the promises they make in the Baptismal service more meaningful.
