Finding sacred space in our lives

Trish Harrison Warren, "Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred practices in everyday life"

Sacred space can still be found in a disenchanted world, embedded in the daily routines of our lives as much as in the daily offices of a medieval monk.

Every aspect of the day can be a space for spiritual reflection and contemplation: waking, making the bed, brushing teeth, losing keys, eating leftovers, fighting with your spouse, checking email, sitting in traffic, calling a friend, drinking tea, sleeping.
