Emmanuel,
this is the time of hope and wonder.
Your bed laid first among the poor,
and your birth declared first to the humble.
Guide us to seek you first amongst the poor,
the vulnerable, and unprivileged.
For you are alive and reign with the Father
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
