We pray for Isaac and Lydia as they are made members of the body of Christ, the church, through the sacrament of baptism. May they grow to know your love, peace, and invitation to abundant life. We pray for ourselves as we recall our own baptism. Help us to rest secure in the promises of God and to live out the promises we made or were made on our behalf. We pray for all those who feel ostracised, alienated, unworthy or alone. Help us to be agents of divine hospitality and healing to them.
We pray for those we know who are sick or in need of our prayers.
We pray for those in Long Term Care.
Parish Cycle of Prayer
We pray for our verger, study/home groups; all who live out their baptism in diverse ways in our parish and beyond; City Council workers and others who care for our local environment.
Diocesan Cycle of Prayer
We pray for the parish of Hororata. We pray for the NZ Bible Society; the Bible Fellowship; Scripture Union; and the Diocesan Synod meeting 1-3 Sept.
