Collect of the day
Almighty God,
you are Alpha and Omega, beginning and end,
the Word made flesh.
Grant us the courage to take up our cross,
and bear it gladly for the sake of the gospel,
risking mockery and rejection,
following the example of Jesus.
Through Jesus Christ our Liberator,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
