Generous God,
you give us many gifts
to lead us into the fullness of life;
keep us from clinging to what is fleeting,
and help us to hold firm to all that lasts;
through Jesus Christ our Liberator,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
