Vestry Snippets (Jun 24)
Some brief highlights from the June Vestry meeting:
• A discussion was held about increasing ways we can nurture school connections outside of Sunday services - options include hosting an event for Year 8 leavers and offering a time of hospitality after the Friday service.
• Eight parishioners are to attend Diocesan Safe Ministry training - this is mandatory for clergy and licensed lay ministers.
• Excess expenditure over income in May was $3423
• A timer has been installed on the church heating
• The fault with the presider's microphone is being investigated
• The finance committee is to explore our options to self-manage parish insurance
• Costs are being sought to install bike parking on site, and also to look at the feasibility of installing solar panels on the hall complex roof.
