From the Wardens - A Very Warm Welcome
A very warm welcome to you all as we begin to get the year underway properly!
We would like to thank all those who so generously donated to the Christchurch City Mission’s Back to School programme last month. We sent the Mission $500 from that retiring collection. Here’s an excerpt from the letter we received from Corinne Haines, the City Missioner:
“Education is essential for our children, and we are grateful for your commitment to being part of our aim to assist parents in preparing their children for their return to school. You are directly supporting parents and families who have simply run out of options and who desperately wish to give their child the best possible start for their educations - thank you! Your benevolence and kindness when families need us us, ensures each child will walk into their classroom looking and feeling the same as their peers, ready to gain the life-changing benefits education can provide. This is something we cannot put a price on. Together, we will ensure no child is left behind.”

Will we make the choice to live as those who love the way of God and therefore find the depth, refreshment from the true source of life? Or do we choose a life of being blown around in the breeze avoiding the true source of life that provides us with rootedness, security and life?
Isaiah has been called by God to bring the people to account for their actions. They had turned away from God and that was being shown in how they were treating their brothers and sisters. Isaiah recognises his own faults and he is forgiven by God.
